Hi, my name is Daivik. Welcome back to school! Hope everybody had a relaxing holidays and celebrated over the Easter and Anzac Day weekends! It was wonderful to see everyone back at school! Can’t wait to see all the events that unfold this term! Some good news is that we have full recess and lunch times from now! Masks are not mandatory in class anymore but you can wear them if you want to. RAT kits will still be distributed to students. This term will be a short 9 week term but don’t you worry, Term 2 will be jam-packed with activities!

Already, in the first short week of school, we have some early excitement. The Year 6s started their winter sports last week and faced off against Pinewood Primary School. The sports were, AFL, Volley Stars, Soccer Rounders, Kickball, Netball and Mixed Netball. Also, Mr Parker, Mrs Sparkes and the House Captains have announced the sport for Sports Innovation is soccer! If you want to participate, Year 6s will have to arrive at school at 8:00am on Wednesday for trials and Year 5s will have to arrive at 8:00am on Thursday. Also, we have our Mother’s Day stall and second Maths Olympiad on Wednesday! The Mother’s Day stall will go till Friday 6th May. Good luck to the year 3s and 5s for their NAPLAN exams! First up for them is writing on 10th of May, followed by reading, language conventions and numeracy!

Thank you for taking the time to read this newsletter and hope you have a wonderful term at school!
