ST AGNES' FETE 2022-THANK YOU

THANKYOU !

We made it!   After 2 years of uncertainty, and with the amazing support of the committee members; staff, parents, and the wonderful community of Highett and surrounds…. we put on an amazing day!  One we will all remember for many years to come.

Thank you to everyone who helped out in the lead up to, and during the big day, our event could not have been such a success without you.

First and foremost we would like to thank our amazingly talented and hardworking committee members. Without the continued support of our committee members and the hours of hard work, the fete could not have come together like it did!

Thank you to Leanne Cooke our incredibly dedicated and savvy treasurer (and fete “oracle”);  Andrew Bruggeman- the amazing master of the bbq, bar and all things food and permit related; Mary Fordyce our incredibly efficient and organised secretary); Sally Forbes and Sarah Duddy our wonderful stall coordinators; Shannon Shine our brilliant communications coordinator,  who managed to continue to co run the school office whilst also assisting us with a myriad of things!; Denham Martil for mustering up sponsorship and donations during very challenging times.  Of course, a special thank you must go to our Principal, Lachie Foott who backed us all the way with his unwavering optimism and positive attitude.

We acknowledge and thank our major sponsors, Bendigo Bank-Highett Community branch and Buxton-Hampton East, as well as Harvey Norman- Nunawading; AMPHA Health;  Verve Photography; Tina Leonard Studios; Highett Community House; BayPoint Projects, and Cloud Paper group.

We also thank the following businesses for their contributions and donations towards the day;  Buchan Motel (Hanman Family; )The Little Elephant, The Icing Artist, Tee Party 2 u, Highett Youth Club, Table Birds, F45 Sandringham Highett,  The Gin Dispensary, Baypoint Projects, Highett Florist, Wallers Bakery, Big Pig Little Pig, Woolworths Highett, Billy Tsarlikis for serving us his beautiful coffee; “Ariel” from AT Dance for bringing some joy and smiles to the younger audience; B&V Security and Briggs Electrical.

Without our sponsors and the support of our local community, the fete would not have been the success that it was. We greatly appreciate the support of our local businesses. Please make sure you continue to support them.

An event such as a school fete must rely heavily on the parent community.  Without the support and contributions from our parent cohort, the day would not have come together like it did. Whether it be making lucky jars or jams; collecting books; trash and treasure; donating chocolates and wine; dropping off flyers around Bayside, buying raffle tickets or loaning marquees and trestle tables!   Your contributions are very much appreciated and you have all played a very important role in making the day so successful.

To those of you who co-ordinated a stall, thank you! Your hard work has not gone unnoticed and we greatly appreciate the time and effort you put in to ensure the day ran smoothly and was enjoyed by everyone!

Thank you to the St Agnes’ Staff for your support leading up to the fete and to those who kindly volunteered your time on a stall, it was really appreciated

Again thank you to Shannon and Naomi for your generosity and patience.

Finally we would like to thank Father Alan Fox for your support. A fantastic effort by everyone involved, St Agnes is definitely on the map!
