All students attending St Louis de Montfort's Aspendale have the right to feel safe. The care, safety and wellbeing of children and young people is a fundamental responsibility of all within our school.                                                                                     Marylene Douglas

Holy Week is the week we remember and celebrate the last days of Jesus’ life on earth before His death and Resurrection. We pray and reflect on the events of Jesus’ last days, his suffering and death. We think about what it might teach us so that we can be more faithful followers of Jesus willing to serve others just as he did.

When Jesus knelt before His disciples to wash their feet at the Last Supper, He  was giving us an example of what service means. He taught us that to serve God we must serve others. He taught us that to be a great leader you must empower and serve others.

Holy week also gives us the opportunity to reflect on our choices and be be re-assured that no matter what, we can always be forgiven and start a new beginning with the love of Jesus. Jesus loves and cares for us like no-one else does, he forgives all our wrong doings and offers us eternal life.

On Thursday, the whole school gathered for a very prayerful and reverend Holy Week Liturgy. Our amazing Liturgy and Social Justice Team lead the school in prayer and song. The students sang songs for each day of Holy Week and many could feel the presence of the Holy Spirit amongst us.

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank the wonderful St Louis' School Community for the amazing work achieved this term. It was so lovely being able to interact with people face to face and really be in each others' presence.

I would also like to thank you for your very generous Caritas Donations for Project Compassion. If you have not yet returned your donation box, please do so at the beginning of next term.

May you all enjoy a peaceful, safe and Blessed Easter with your families. Take care and see you all next term!
