PARENT TEACHER STUDENT CONVERSATIONS

It was wonderful to see so many parents and students at our recent Parent Student Teacher Conversation evening.  Evenings such as these are an ideal opportunity for the key stakeholders in a student’s education to come together for rich discussion about a student’s learning success. Students and parents should come away from these discussions knowing student strengths, and strategies for improvement. 

 

Thank you to the many parents who provided us with so much positive feedback on the evening. For those who were unable to attend the evening, please know that you are always welcome to contact teachers and negotiate alternate times to engage in these conversations. 

 

For those who wish to plan ahead, please note Term 3 conversations evening date below. 

 

NAPLAN ONLINE – Years 7 and 9

This week will see our Year 7 and Year 9 students participating in NAPLAN Online. The tests will be delivered over the course of Tuesday 10th, Wednesday 11th and Thursday 12th May 2022. Students will be in their timetabled lessons when not completing NAPLAN on these days.  Please ensure your child is available and punctual on these days.

 

The equipment needed is as follows:

  • Charged Laptop with NAP Locked Down Browser downloaded (this has been done)
  • 2B OR HB PENCIL 
  • Headphones (not Bluetooth) 

Any students who are absent during any of the tests will be required to catch them up during this week and into Week 5 where required.  Individual reports will be mailed out during Term 3, as they become available.

 

I would like to extend a huge thank you to all teaching staff and support staff, particularly Ms Robyn Dubbins, who have taken on key roles in the delivery of NAPLAN this year. Also, I extend my thanks to Ms Clare Zappala and Mr Adam Shirvington for organising a BBQ morning tea on Thursday morning for all year 7 and year 9 students.
