Aladdin the Musical:

At the end of week 9, several lucky students from Lyndhurst Secondary College were given the opportunity to watch and support Hampton Park Secondary College’s musical production of Aladdin. LSC students and staff left the show impressed and inspired at the sheer talent and professionalism. Our students enjoyed witnessing the many possibilities that a school musical has to offer. Whether it is being a stagehand and manoeuvring the magic carpet, operating smoke machines and jet cannons, dancing in stunning Arabian attire or simply improvising lines such as the iconic ‘Nah, I’m from Dandenong –Genie’. We wish to congratulate Hampton Park Secondary College on such a successful production and extend a big thank you as you have inspired our students. We wish to return the favour in the future!

House Competitions

Flintoff is in the lead. No Hale. No Flintoff. What’s clear is our friendly house Kettner has always remained on the bottom of the leader board. During the past ten weeks our students and staff have engaged in a range of house activities and competitions. From the annual swimming carnival, Year 7 Launch activities, four square battles, uno competition and cross-country our community has earned a whopping 2, 153 points in total. And yes, Flintoff -at the time of writing- is still in the lead with Hale trailing closely behind. This could change at any moment. With three terms to go and more diverse activities on the horizon it’s anyone’s game. Surveys were conducted in person at the end of term 1 by our House Captains and are available online for members of our community wishing to submit ideas. Generate Conference

Last term, some  of our Year 10 students attended the Generate 22 Conference at Yarra Ranges Tech School.  It was great to see their interactions  and watch students immerse themselves in the technology around them.

Thanks for sharing Mr Tan and students Leaphor Nou, Jarryd Proudlock, Matthew Neff and Jinmin Yu.
