This term I’ll be sharing some of my go-to Instagram pages around education, wellbeing and children. I’d love to hear from you about which Instagram pages inspire you- please reach out if you have any suggestions cbergen@stpaulba.sa.edu.au

My first recommendation is @ourmamavillage

Jess is a child and family therapist based in the US who runs free parenting classes. Her tagline includes: break cycles, yell less, enjoy parenting.

Some of her posts that I connected with were related to a ‘do-over’. Through our Kimochi social and emotional learning, we encourage children to have a ‘Re-Do’ which aligns nicely with the following posts:

Other post gems:

  • 5 things to say to your kids at school or childcare drop off- 26th April 2022
  • Teach your child- 20th April 2022
  • Normalize: Dolls are not just for girls- 29th March 2022
  • Boys and girls can be friends- 23rd February 2022
  • Teach your kids the: no secret rule- 10th December 2021

Plus so many more!

Mother’s Day Stall TOMORROW!

Our Mother’s Day Stall will be happening tomorrow. Gifts will range from $2-$7 and children can purchase up to 3 gifts and a card. Gift cards are $1 and all gifts will be in a gift bag.

Your child will be able to bring cash on the day to purchase gifts from the Mother’s Day Stall or alternatively you can use the QKR app. QKR purchases will be available until 3:00pm TODAY.  Tomorrow there will only be cash purchases available.

QKR app instructions: Select: School Payments/Mother’s Day Stall/enter $ amount for each child. If students make payment via QKR they will receive tokens in a named envelope to purchase gifts. (1 token=$1) The tokens will be delivered to the class. Unfortunately leftover tokens will not be able to be refunded, however there will be a variety of $1 gifts available to purchase. Any leftover tokens will be donated to the Australian Lutheran World Service charity.
