Basketball Results

Year 2/3 GS Thunder

GS Thunder made a fantastic start to the term with their first win of the season against St Aggies (20-4).

Both Jonte and Hunter did extremely well in offense and had high scoring games.  Anhad also scored some skilled shots and showed off her defensive skills with some great steals. Thunder’s defence was strong, and their zone defence made it difficult for the other team to penetrate the key. Jessica did some excellent steals, as did Ronan, who also put a lot of pressure on the opposition. Raewyn used her height to her advantage and positioned herself well for rebounds. Well-done to all players.

Scorers: Jonte (8 pts), Hunter (8 pts) and Anhad (4 pts).

Year 2/3 GS Rockets

The GS Rockets has a nail biting 1 point win over the Prescott Panthers Wednesday afternoon with the final score 16-15.

Eden and Jake had excellent high scoring games and Nate and Rhys chipped in for some handy baskets.

Scorers: Eden & Jake (6 pts each), Nate and Rhys (2 pts each).

Year 5/6 GS Nets

Week 10 was our best game to date against the Keithcott Knights Blue!  The score was even at 10 all at the half time break, but with a few quick goals by the opposition in the 2nd half we ended up going down 20-28.  This was our highest scoring game so far and with multiple scorers it shows how well the team are improving on working together and sharing the ball around.  Awesome effort this week team!

Scorers – Luke (8 pts), Elijah and Levi (4 pts each), Edward and Foster (2 pts each).
