Learning and Teaching
There is much to look forward to this term. There are a variety of upcoming co-curricular activities, which serve to provide opportunities to utilise strengths and talents in a multitude of ways. Students are preparing to participate in the Big Science Competition, Building Bridges, Debating and many SCSA and SEGAP sporting competitions.
We belong to a welcoming and vibrant community. What a blessing!
NAPLAN
NAPLAN is scheduled for all students in Year 7 and Year 9 for the following dates:
Tuesday 10 May - Reading Test
- Year 7 - Period 2 and part of Period 3
- Year 9 - Period 4 and part of Period 5
Wednesday 11 May - Writing Test
- Year 9 - Period 1 and part of Period 2
- Year 7 - Period 3 and part of Period 4
Thursday 12 May - Language Conventions
- Year 7 - Period 1 and part of Period 2
- Year 9 - Period 3 and part of Period 4
Friday 13 May - Numeracy Test
- Year 7 - Period 1 and part of Period 2
- Year 9 - Period 3 and part of Period 4
All Year 7 and Year 9 students are expected to participate in the NAPLAN tests. Catch-up tests may be available for individual students who are absent on test days.
Students are reminded to take the following to each test:
- Pen or pencil
- Headphones
- Water in a clear bottle
Academic Tutoring Program
A reminder that in 2022 we are continuing our Academic Tutoring Program with support staff working in classrooms from Year 7 to 9 and after school support available for all students in the Library until 5pm Monday to Thursday.
