JMC Academy

JMC Academy in South Melbourne recently held the 2020 Melbourne Global Game Jam. The Game Jam is an annual challenge where independent and upcoming developers conceptualise and create a game in 48-hours (similar to the 48-hour film festival). This year saw over 250 budding developers enter the halls of JMC which led to 53 original games being created.

Now, the City of Port Phillip, Global Game Jam, Big Ant Studios, and JMC Academy are pleased to present the Play Jam, a huge event running on Tuesday, 18 of February where participants of all ages can come down and play the games, meet the developers and learn a thing or two about game development in Australia. I’m extending the invitation to you, your media teachers, and students of all ages from your school to come down and check it out.

The details are:

Date: Tuesday, 18 February

Time: 6.00 pm – 9.00 pm

Where: South Melbourne Town Hall

Inspired Decisions, Limitless Possibilities

The ComparED website provides prospective students with relevant and transparent information about Australian Higher Education Institutions from the perspective of current students and recent graduates. So, with ComparED, students can explore and compare the quality of higher education institutions and study areas they are interested in, based on the experiences of others. The ComparED website allows students to compare specific institutions and/or study areas. The data available is sourced from the Quality Indicators for Learning and Teaching (QILT) surveys.  Visit ComparED and explore and compare institutions and study areas based on real life student experiences.
