Colour Explosion Fun Run

One week to go! We are so proud of the students (and parents) that have been relentless in lobbying for sponsorship! We are blown away by what we have raised as a school and cannot wait to see these funds put to good use to improve the playground space for our students. With one week to go, I urge you to continue your quest for sponsorship.   I actually can't wait to have some great fun with our students next Friday afternoon!

Portables

Next week we will be moving Mrs Mac's grade (3/4A) and Miss Lee's grade (3/4D) into the new classrooms! We are excited to see how this beautiful, (with amazing city views) new, learning space takes shape.  We will also have access to the new toilet block which will provide us with a much needed service, down the far end of the school!

Parent Teacher Interviews

On the last Wednesday of term (25th March), the classroom teachers will be conducting 15 minute conferences with parents. These conferences will all be held in the hall between 12pm and 7pm. Bookings will be open via compass on 16th March at 9am and will be closing at 4pm on the 23rd March.

2021 Enrolments

We held our first tour for 2021 this week and are officially accepting enrolment applications.

If you have a younger sibling that is school age next year, please pick up an enrolment form at the office.  If you know of people that are keen to enrol their child, please encourage them to book a tour online, through our website.  Any questions, please ask!

Staff Professional Practice Days

Each term our teaching staff receive one day to use for professional learning and the development of teaching practice. This term our teachers have taken the day as a team and have used these days to plan for Term 2, analyse student data and one team has also visited another school to see Top Ten Maths in action. These days are incredibly important for teacher growth and development and also provide the perfect time for teachers to collaborate, uninterrupted from the day-to-day happenings at the school. You may notice a Casual Relief Teacher (CRT) in your child's class for the day, or that they are in a grade split - where students visit another classroom for the day. We value the strong routines and relationships that are in each of our classrooms so we try to, wherever possible, use familiar CRTs.  Students are also aware of the grades that they will be visiting should their class be in a grade split and are therefore, well prepared for the day.

In the week beginning the 16th of March, we will be having our first ever whole-school planning week. This is an exciting time for our teachers to look at the term ahead and plan and prepare for rich learning experiences in Inquiry, Literacy and Mathematics. We will be running a different timetable for the specific day that your child's teacher has team planning. This will be communicated in classrooms prior to the day.
