Bronze and Silver Star Card Rewards
Students who achieved their bronze star card (2 star cards) this term had their end of term movie and popcorn reward on Thursday and students who achieved their silver star card (4 star cards) this term had their end of term visit to the park on Wednesday.
Well done to all of these students for working so hard and achieving your goals this term.
Hilltops Council Visit
Hilltops Council Environmental Health Officers visited students in years 3/4 and 5/6 on Tuesday 25 September to deliver an extremely beneficial presentation on protecting the environment and recycling. Students shared many creative ways to avoid and reduce waste as well as identifying which household items can and cannot be recycled. Students are now keen to promote problem solving ideas to help reduce some of these issues.
No Hat - Play in the Shade
A reminder that children will be returning to school in Term 4 in their summer uniform.
Boorowa Central is a “Sun Smart” school. “No hat - play in the shade” is compulsory during Term 1 and 4. It will be necessary to have a school bucket hat at school.
Our full uniform and hats are available from Young Embroidery Service (YES) in Boorowa Street Young.
Parents who are having difficulty in affording or buying uniform should contact the Deputy Principal, or Principal who will be able to assist you in obtaining full school uniform for your children.
We would like to wish you all a very safe and happy holiday, rest up and enjoy the break. We look forward to seeing everyone after the holidays, refreshed and ready to tackle another busy and exciting term.
