PFA - Afternoon Tea to all Parents/Guardians

Tuesday 18th of February at 3PM

The PFA would like to invite all parents to a welcoming afternoon tea on Tuesday 18th of February at 3PM in the staffroom. This is just a chance to chat with other parents and find out what the PFA is all about.

The PFA is an integral part of the school community and a great way to meet other parents.  The funds raised by the PFA help support school projects, teachers and students.

PFA nomination forms will be available at the afternoon tea.

In 2019 the PFA conducted the following fundraising events:

  • Easter Raffle
  • Mother’s Day Stall
  • Entertainment Book
  • Disco
  • Mango Fundraiser

These events raised over $10,000 and the funds were distributed to table & chairs and concrete outside room 39.

PFA ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING (AGM) & 1st Meeting of 2020

Wednesday 19th of February at 7:30pm

Those parents interested in joining the PFA are invited to attend the Annual General Meeting on Wednesday 19th of February at 7:30pm in the staffroom. The PFA is where all parents have a chance to share ideas about fundraisers and ways to benefit our children and our school.

For the PFA to continue these events we need more parents to help.

At the AGM all PFA committee positions will be vacant. To have a functioning PFA the four executive positions must be filled plus an additional five (5) general committee positions. PFA nomination forms must be completed and presented at the AGM.  If you have any questions regarding the PFA please email p.f.a@oatlandsps.vic.edu.au

Executive Positions Vacant:

  • President
  • Vice President

Breakfast Club

Breakfast Club will run every Friday from 8.10am to 8.45am in the Stuart Daly Gym by parent/grandparent volunteers and school staff.   Students who attend are provided with a breakfast of buttered toast with a choice of  vegemite or jam, cereal and a cup of warm Milo.   The program is free of charge and all students are welcome to attend.   Students are required to sign themselves in on arrival and then must remain inside the gym foyer until 8.45am.  This program will commence this Friday (07/02/2020).

To ensure the continuing success of the program we are seeking:

  • Donations of bread, Vegemite, Jam, Milo, butter/margarine and long life milk - these can be brought to breakfast club or left at school office for breakfast club.

  • Parent/Grandparent volunteers to assist with the making of toast, cereal and Milo.  Help is needed from 8.00am to 9.00am.  If you are interested, please complete the attached form and return to the school office or email  p.f.a@oatlandsps.vic.edu.au any time throughout the year.  You will be contacted when you are on as we set up a rotating roster.   You will need to have a current "Working with Children's Card".   If you do not have this card you can do an online application  (search - Working with Children) and there is no charge for a "Volunteer" card.

Thank you for your support.
