This term is up and running in the art room or maybe I should say we're sailing along!

The Year 3 and 4 students have met the challenge to get Captain Cork from here to there across a dangerous stretch of water with wonderful raft and boat designs featuring. They will go on to study the mighty Viking long ships, Chinese treasure ships and the First Fleet boats before changing tack and building simple outrigger boats typical in our Pacific neighbourhood.

We are looking forward to Learn to Sail sessions in the next few weeks with the 'Boatshed' from Albert Park coming to visit. There will be more information to follow about opportunities to learn to sail at Albert Park over the September holidays.

Thank you to all families who have donated shoe boxes to the art room. Fabulous castles will soon be created so we're looking forward to the Fairy Tale Block in the coming weeks.

Year One are experiencing Life in the Freezer and are about to begin stop motion animations with Pingu inspired penguins.

Year Two are exploring the simple life of plants and have created some beautiful pieces already, drop by to check out a corridor full of fungi!

Year Five students are creating cool threadings to sell at the up coming market day and in Year Six, it's all about the bike.

More details will follow but if Year Six families would like to save the date of Friday 30th August, Bike Education instructors will be visiting to work with our students. Bicycles will need to be brought to school on that day. Please let Mrs Campbell know if you have any questions with regards to this program.
