Whole School Assembly
A reminder that this Friday is a whole school assembly at the Buninyong Campus. We’ll make our way back to Scotsburn after recess.
Congratulations Mrs Morgan
A big congratulations to Mrs Morgan who was successful in winning 1st prize at the Buninyong Christmas Tree Art Exhibition late last week. She worked very hard with a number of students to create 2 amazing Christmas Trees. The money won from the competition will go towards adding in some new supplies to her Art room. Well done everyone!
2020 Transition Days
To help prepare students and staff for a successful year in 2020, we have commenced some transition sessions where students are spending time with their teacher and class group for 2020. Our first opportunity was last Thursday which was highly successful. We will have another catch up this Thursday and again for the whole day as part of the Orientation Day for our new preps.
Friday Family Group Rotations
This Friday is our last Family Group Rotation for the year. A big thank you to all our families that assist with Friday Rotations. Without your assistance, we would not be able to run such successful programs and opportunities for your children to participate in. The students love the opportunity to mix with the different classes and participate in the varied activities that are offered. This year the students have loved cooking their lunch and have tried many different foods in cooking that they may not have necessarily tried at home. It has been wonderful to see some of the food that the students have planted and grown in our vegetable garden now being used in our Cooking Rotation. In Sustainability, students have made sustainable food wraps, researched, created and presented sustainable houses as well as given our vegetable garden a new lease on life with plenty of vegetables and herbs growing nicely. You can see the students in Gardening Group going about their task keeping our grounds beautiful, looking after the chickens and Pip as well as taking great pride in our wonderful campus. A big thank you also to our students for making Friday Rotations such a success with all the hard work they put in each week. We look forward to doing it all again next year.
Collaborative Planning Days
The Scotsburn students will be joining The Buninyong campus Gr 3’s on Thursday 12th December at the Buninyong campus. Permission notes will be coming home very soon.
Change of Date
Our Celebration Day has been re-scheduled for Thursday 19th December. The plan (weather permitting) is for the students to spend a couple of hours at the Buninyong Swimming Pool. Permission notes and information will be coming home soon.
Campus Kris Kringle
Students are welcome to bring in their KK/Secret Santa gift as soon as they are ready. A reminder that boys will purchase for a boy and girls for a girl.
Christmas Hamper Raffle
With our Christmas break up fast approaching (Tuesday 17th December), a basket has been placed in each classroom for donations for our annual Christmas Hamper Raffles. It would be great if you could pop something into the basket in the coming weeks.

Working Bee
A big shout out to all of our wonderful parents. We will be having our final working bee for the year on Friday 13th December at 2.30pm-4.30pm. It will be a great chance for us to get the school grounds looking great in readiness for our end of year break up. The main thing to do will be tidying up long grass. If you have a whipper snipper, it would be great if you could bring it along.

If you would like to take care of our chooks over the Christmas break, please drop in and see Shaun ASAP. Special thanks to Lara and her family who are taking Pip the lizard for the holidays.
