Year 7 & 8 Update

Welcome back to a brand new year and brand new start.

On behalf of the staff and students at John Fawkner College I would like to say an official welcome to the new year 7 class of 2021. You have now joined the big league.

Starting year 7 can be pretty terrifying. New buildings, new friends, new teachers and a locker. Can't forget our worried parents. I am pleased to say we are almost half way through Term 1 and all Year 7 students are kicking goals and conquering their personal obstacles. 

Already we have great things happening in the classroom. 

• Smiling parents and students at the year 7 BBQ was nothing short of sun shine, smiles and sausages.
• Loads of participation at the College swimming carnival. Seeing Thorpe win the title.
• 2021 Photo day came and saw everyone dressing, feeling and looking good.

The year 8 cohort has come back chasing that education they know they deserve. 

Students ready to learn and making the most of the chances they get.

Also welcoming and taking care of our new year 7 group. 

It was to long ago they were in their shoes. Oh how time zips past. 

I would like to say a big congratulations to our amazing Year 8 SRC representatives.

This year is already throwing a curve ball at us. I have no doubt we will all bond together and show 2021 what we've got.
