Year 11 Christmas Giving for St Michael's Meals
Thank you very much to the whole College community for your generosity in support of our Christmas Giving this Advent season. We have collected so many goods that will provide many of our community's most disadvantaged with the understanding that St Pius is a community that respects the dignity of individuals. Our collection concludes tomorrow when goods will be packaged for delivery. Our delivery commences next week - be sure to look in future issues of Woodchatta for photos of our delivery.
Our annual closing Mass for Years 5 - 10 will take place this Friday in the Junior School yard. This will be a time to formally bless and commission our newly appointed Year 10 Eucharistic Ministers. These young men will then distribute Communion for the first time to their peers. Our Mass will draw to a close the school year for 2020 and is the first large school Mass we have had the opportunity to celebrate since the Commencement Mass with Bishop Anthony Randazzo. We will place a small token of our giving at the altar to remind us of our duty to be people who will always “give to the poor in handfuls.”
