STAFFING NEWS

As always happens at the end of each year, we will say a fond farewell to some of our lovely staff and warmly welcome new members to our team. 

Larissa Kennedy and Janette Taylor have been granted leave, from Carnegie, for the 2021 year. Steve Miller and Kate McArdle have chosen to seek employment closer to their homes and Ingrid Jones' & Janet Flack’s fixed term contracts will conclude. I know you will wish them all the best in their individual endeavours next year. We recently advertised a small number of teacher positions and we will warmly welcome some new staff to CPS next year. An overview of our 2021 staff with your child’s teacher/teachers for 2021 will be shared with all families on Wednesday 16th December.

SCHOOL BANKING CEASED

From Term1, 2021 the Victorian Government has ceased school banking programs in Victorian government schools. As a result, the CommBank School Banking program will no longer operate at our school after the end of this term. If you are unsure of other methods of depositing to your child's account, please feel free to contact the Bank's general enquiries hotline on 13 2221 or alternatively visit your local CommBank branch.

LAST DAY OF TERM & HOLIDAY BREAK

Term 4 ends on Friday 18th December at 1.30pm. At this point in time we are planning a final assembly for our students and with the restriction in place this will be made available remotely to families. Details will be shared a little closer to the date.

School commences on Friday 29th January, 2021 for our Year 1 to 6 students. Looking forward to seeing everyone back for what we hope will be a great year at Carnegie Primary School.  Prep students commence on Monday 1st February with shorter hours for the first week,
