Senior School

Welcome to 2021!

Welcome to the first term for what are very significant final years for our Year 11 and 12’s at Ringwood Secondary College. We hope all families have all enjoyed their holiday break and are looking forward to the journey ahead.

The Year 12 students started their first day of school attending a Masterclass in the new Senior School Building. The students started the day with some warm words of welcome and 2020 reflections from Mr Phillips. Following this, our VCAL students engaged in ‘Skills Focus’ activities while VCE students had a highly useful ‘Study Sensei’ session with Elevate. All students were back together and treated to an engaging presentation from author and motivational speaker, Mike Rolls. The rest of the day consisted of the Year 12s designing their own study plan, VCAL students engaging in ‘Try Tactics’ and a Q&A session with our past Year 12 students. It was a great way to set the tone for 2020 with some inspiring activities and helpful hints.

In addition, our office has been a busy place as we are welcoming our new Year 11s to the Senior School. Throughout this term we will be focusing on inducting our Year 11s into the VCE and VCAL programs and I am sure the next two years will be a productive and fulfilling experience for all.
