Canteen

Welcome back and "Hello and welcome" to all of our new families! It's been so lovely catching up with the kids at the window and hearing about their wonderful holidays.

I hope everyone had a restful break and is excited to be back. We have some exciting special events planned in the canteen for this year.

My School Connect:

Please remember to update your child's class for the year.

From your dashboard:

• Click on 'My Students'
• Click 'edit' on the student you want to set a class for
• Select that student
• Click 'Save'
• You will then be able to order!

A little more Canteen house keeping -

• Canteen is open every Monday, Wednesday and Friday of term
• Orders are placed through My School Connect: https://myschoolconnect.com.au/
• Items can be ordered for recess snack (kids pick up items from the canteen) as well as lunch (class monitors deliver orders to classrooms). Orders must be in the system by 9.30am on the day required.
• Cash is accepted at both breaks over the counter. Items range from 5c (for cereal buds). Most items are around $1. If you are short on coins, ‘My Canteen Cash vouchers’ can be purchased through MSC, ($1 and $2 denominations). These are treated as cash and can be redeemed for any snack or frozen item. Please note, most hot items, sandwiches etc. must be pre-ordered online.
• If your child has any food allergy or intolerance, please call or email me at wendy.schilling@education.vic.gov.au to discuss. I try very hard to be able to offer all students the chance to order through the canteen, so please feel free to reach out
• For the time being due to concerns around infection control, we will not allow the use of re-usable lunch bags or cups for lunch orders. As soon as this changes, I’ll be in contact!
• Please remind your child when they have an order :)

Kindness Lunch:

To celebrate World Kindness Day, we will be holding a special Bento lunch on Tuesday 16th Feb. The Bento boxes include - a heart shaped Sandwich - Jam or Vegemite and Cheese, a homemade heart shaped and decorated Shortbread, a Fruit Stick, Cheese and Crackers, Popcorn and your choice of drink. Also included is a voucher which can be gifted to a friend for a Frozen Fruit Juice Cup (voucher must be redeemed by the end of Term 1, 2021). 

Please note these vouchers are treated as cash and can not be replaced if lost.

Orders are live on MSC now and must be completed before 9.30am on Friday 12th Feb. No late orders can be accepted.
