“BE ON YOUR GUARD, STAY AWAKE, BECAUSE YOU NEVER KNOW WHEN THE TIME WILL COME.” (Mark 13:33)

Friends,

As we have bid our farewell to the graduates of Year 12, we continue to pray for them to get the best result as they can and keep trying our best to reach our goals of 2020 in our academic year.

This year all of us feel struggled with all social activities. When the pandemic broke out at the beginning of the year 2020, we would never think that we could finish our academic year. However, praise the Lord! This year is coming to an end.

Now we are going to the New Liturgical Year. This Sunday will be the first Sunday in Advent.

Advent comes from the Latin word meaning "coming." Jesus is coming, and Advent is a season of preparation for His arrival. While we typically regard Advent as a joyous season, it is also a period of preparation, much like Lent. Prayer, penance and fasting are appropriate during this season.

Let us pray.

Father, in the wilderness of the Jordan

you sent a messenger to prepare people's hearts

for the coming of your Son.

Help me to hear his words and repent of my sins,

so that I may clearly see the way to walk,

the truth to speak, and the life to live for Him,

our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
