Attention ALL Poultry Keepers 

A community message from Agriculture Victoria.

For the next 30 days (from 7 August), all poultry keepers - even those with just two or three chickens or birds – are required by law to keep their birds housed in the Golden Plains Shire Council. Where possible, move birds into a suitable building, like a shed or outbuilding adapted to house them, or a new temporary structure. Put netting over openings to stop wild birds getting in. If you cannot keep your birds housed, you must take other steps to separate your poultry and their food and drink away from wild birds. For more information go to https://go.vic.gov.au/dy7UlG
