Around the Grounds

A Welcoming New Entrance

The builders' fences have now gone and our Admin Building renovations are almost complete. Our school's office entrance now has an inviting new look complete with a new verandah, disabled access ramp and native garden beds. Thank you to Chris Hose from Chartwell Nurseries for your involvement with selecting and supplying suitable plants.

From the Kitchen Garden

Another lovely day gardening last Wednesday, although very quiet without many students again.  I’ve continued weeding, done a little (very late) pruning and some general tidying up. A few seedlings that we raised in the greenhouse have been planted out into the garden. Fingers crossed for no more heavy frosts!

We've also also made an early start in the greenhouse on some zucchini, chilli and tomato seeds which will hopefully be well established and ready for planting out in September.

New Fence

A new fence has been erected between the kitchen garden and down ball courts. This provides a distinct boundary for our kitchen garden area and provides the framework to grow some climbing crops for the cooking classes.
