It has been a challenging year for all, however universities have been working harder than ever to get their message out. Many virtual information sessions have been organized to ensure students preparing for the next step can be as informed as they would be if able to attend face to face open days and information sessions.

This link has a list of universities across Australian hosting upcoming open days – you have more opportunity that ever to visit a variety of institutions – you could be in the ACT in the morning and WA by the afternoon!

DEAKIN UNIVERSITY ACCELERATE PROGRAM

Open to current Year 11 students, applications are now open for the 2021 Deakin Accelerate program. If you are a high-achieving student, you can boost your ATAR and fast-track your university studies with Deakin Accelerate. Complete two units of a first-year university subject in Year 12, and get a taste for the exciting adventure that’s to come. Applications close at 11.59pm, Friday 4 December.

RMIT PATHWAYS GUARANTEED

RMIT is the first Victorian tertiary institution to offer packaged pathways as options for VTAC preferences through Pathways Guaranteed. It has been a difficult year for our Year 12’s and it is good contingency planning to consider pathways when selecting your preferences.

SuniTAFE AND LA TROBE UNIVERSITY PATHWAYS AND OPEN DAY

SuniTAFE has partnered with La Trobe University to provide students with a seamless transition from TAFE to university. SuniTAFE diploma and advanced diploma graduates gain credit into a variety of university programs with La Trobe University, thereby significantly reducing the duration of study required to achieve a degree.
