Emmanuel College News

Building connection to school is a key factor in growing engagement for students. Everyone knows that people have different interests, skill and attributes. At Emmanuel College, we run an array of different events during the year that caters for the broad range of things that may be of interest to people. Book Week exhibitions and competitions, Lego Masters as well as inter and intra house games and competitions just to name a few. Connection to a student’s House is an essential element of building engagement between the student and school, House Leaders are constantly conducting events that help students know and feel that they are an important part of school life.

One of the most anticipated events each year is the LipSync Battle which happens in Term 4 annually. The Year 7s battle it out in a singing / dancing extravaganza, all very keen to claim the title. The links below show the 2019 version of the LipSync Battle at St Paul’s  campus. This event will definitely happen again in 2020, but, like everything else, it might be a bit different. Enjoy the show!

Also, just a reminder that the closing date for enrolment applications for Year 7, 2022 has been extended by Catholic Education Melbourne until 9 October, 2020. Even though this date has been extended, we are encouraging families to submit applications as soon as possible. Prospectus Packs including an application form can be requested from the College website, www.ecmelb.catholic.edu.au under the enrolment information tab , by emailing the College Registrar at enrolments@ecmelb.catholic.edu.au or calling on 8325 5119. Caroline Chisholm Catholic College News

As you know applications for year 7 2022 are due by 9 October, however our College is closed to the public and only open to permitted students and workers. Parents won’t be able to submit an application in person until restrictions ease.

To help families, I created a video to guide families through the online enrolment process. I hope it will help ease some of the anxieties parents might be having around enrolment during stage 4 restrictions.

Please kindly share this video to your parents who might be interested in applying.

Thank you for your support, I look forward to catching up with you on the other side of this.

As always please let me know if there’s anything I can help you with.

Regards,

Jacqui Duong

Head of Admissions
