Year 3/4 Camp
Finishing the year on a high
Earlier this week, our Year 3/4 classes enjoyed the best possible way to end such a challenging and socially distanced year by attending school camp at Manyung in Mount Eliza.
This camp had originally been set for November but a terribly-timed Covid case in the school meant we had to cancel this at the last minute and assumed that 2021 camp would not happen - another victim of the pandemic.
We were so pleased to hear of a last minute opportunity to reschedule and took this opportunity with both hands. The weather was fantastic and, even though the camp was only 2 days and 1 night, we made the most of our time and took part in a range of challenging, active and fun activities that required a high level of teamwork and pushing ourselves out of our comfort zones.
We see camp as such an important part of each child's time at our school for the independence and enjoyment that they get from attending and are so lucky that, during 2020 and 2021 all of our camps have been able to happen.
I would like to thank the Year 3/4 teachers, in particular Stephanie, for the work they put into the planning and execution of such a big event and being willing to go the extra mile for the students so late in the school year.
