Year 6 Graduation

Saying Goodbye to a great group of students

Last Thursday we had the privilege of congratulating and saying farewell to our graduating Year 6 students.

After a really tough final two years in primary school it was wonderful to be able to come together to celebrate this achievement and reflect on their time at our school.

During the ceremony I shared a favourite quote of mine;

Challenges are what makes life interesting. Overcoming them is what makes life meaningful.

We could not be prouder of our Year 6 leaders who have overcome so much in their last 2 years at SKiPPS and had to develop a resilience and independence that will stand them in good stead and be a key foundation for success as they move onto secondary school and what we hope is a more settled next stage in their education.

We will say our final goodbyes this Friday at our assemblies at 9am and 1:15pm and welcome you all to come and wish such a great group of students and leaders all the best.

We were able to live stream the ceremony to families and friends around Australia and the World and a link to watch this back and download the video can be found at https://youtu.be/inYU55vRsg8

A few parents have requested a copy of my speech from the evening and this can be found attached below.
