A message from the Principal

A (absolutely) final word from 2021

We had intended that last week's newsletter would be our sign-off from 2021 but, with so much happening in the school in this final week of the year, we have decided to share and celebrate for one last time!

Later in this shorter newsletter bulletin, we share news of our Year 6 Graduation, Year 3/4 camp, Green Team excursions and our teaching teams and plans for 2022.

It is so great that we have finished the year on such a high and largely free from the restrictions and distancing that have made 2021 such a slog.

This Friday (17th December) is the final day of the school year and we invite you to join us in this celebration.

Before school on Friday, our wonderful Parents' Association SKiPPA will be running a bacon and egg roll stall and a coffee van in the school grounds and we invite you to get to school early (from 8am) and share a breakfast with the school community.

We will then be holding our traditional final morning assembly outdoors in the quadrangle from 9am with musical performances, Christmas music from our choir, recognition of some of our oustanding Year 6 students (including a visit from Josh Burns MP to present the Dame Jean McNamara award to a female student who has excelled in STEM subjects this year). Parents are welcome to join us for this in a socially distanced way.

We will then run a final assembly at 1:15pm to allow our Year 6 students to sing their graduation song before we dismiss classes from the quadrangle at 1:30pm.

I wish all of our students, staff and families a Merry Christmas and a restful, well-deserved break and hope for a more settled year for us all in 2022.

Neil Scott

Principal
