Parents Association Update:

Welcome back! We hope you had a wonderful summer and really hope the kids had a great first week back! It was so nice hearing the laughs, and seeing the smiles on the first day.

We had our Bubbles & Tears event to kick off the school year. Thank you to the prep parents who have joined us, and we welcome you to the school.

Our first PA meeting for the year will be on Tues, 8th at 730pm via webex. We have a great year lined up and we are always looking for people to be part of the PA. If you cannot attend meetings, but would like to help out with events, please email the PA (marlborough.ps.pa@gmail.com). Please email the PA or Neil if you would like to attend the PA meeting to get the webex details. We are a small school, and we need parent helpers to run the events and raise money for the school. The money raised this year will go toward sprucing/painting the school yard.

Keep an eye out for the Events/Fundraising page on the school website that should be updated soon.

Our Family Fun night is next week, Thursday 10th at 5pm. Family Fun night consist of a sausage sizzle, games for the kids put on by the teachers and this year we have Mr Whippy and a coffee cart as well. There will be a QR code to check in, and only vaccinated people will be able to attend the school grounds.

For our sausage sizzle to be successful, we need volunteers. Please email Marlborough.ps.pa@gmail.com if you can assist in helping the sausage sizzle.

The sizzle will be cash only.

We will have a 2nd hand Uniform stall being held on Feb 17th at 3pm. All money will go to the PA. If you would like to sell your own items, you are welcomed to bring your clothes down and sell at the stall. We have our first adult event lined up – Friday March 5th, Adult Lawn bowls starting at 7pm. $15 for 90 min of lawn bowls, and a small donation to the school per person. BYO food, and drinks at cheap bar prices. Get your tickets here: https://www.trybooking.com/BXCTF

Casserole and Food Bank

This has been a long standing initiative run by the Marlborough PA to provide meals or groceries to families who are in need of a few extra groceries or to support families who are going through a tough time. We are currently short on personal items such as laundry powder, tissues, cleaning products, personal hygiene etc. We are also short on home cooked meals. If you are interested in donating anything to our Casserole & Food bank, please contact Kirsty on 0425114866.

If you would like to drop off any meals at school during lockdown, please call the school on 9870 3468 to arrange a drop off.

Once school is back to on site learning, meals can be dropped off at the office- just remember to sign in using the QR code.
