Meet Marlborough's New Team Members

Adam Jarvis - 1/2A

This year I’m teaching Grade 1/2A. Previously I have taught at Livingstone Primary School, Birchip P-12 school and remotely in an Indigenous community in the Northern Territory. I’m really looking forward to fostering positive relationships with students and parents alike. I grew up in Bendigo and get back as often as I can to visit family. In my spare time I enjoy playing music, reading  and  going to the gym! It feels great to become a part of the Marlborough community and I can’t wait to meet you all.

Helen Edwards - 1/2C

This year I am teaching Grade 1/2C. This is my fourth year teaching and I am excited to be joining Marlborough PS. I can’t wait to get to know all the students and families and have fun teaching and learning together. I love spending time outdoors, spending time gardening and I especially love relaxing at the beach. I have two children and enjoy seeing them play their favourite sports.

Alec Baroni - 3/4A

Hello Marlborough Primary School families, my name is Alec Baroni (or Mr. B. to the students) and I am excited to be joining the MPS community in 2022. I am working as the school’s Learning Specialist as well as the 3/4 Team Leader – but more often than not I can be found in the 3/4 unit with my class, 3/4A.

I have been teaching for over ten years – teaching all year levels from Prep through to Year 6 (and even being a Science Teacher for a few years).

Prior to being a teacher, I was a chef – working in restaurants across Melbourne – and love all things food.

I am looking forward to getting to know all of the school community over the year, so please feel free to stop by for a chat.

Peter Moore - 3/4C

Hello Marlborough Primary School. My name is Mr Moore (aka Pete). Having worked at MPS with grade 5/6 as a Student Teacher in 2021, I am excited to be joining the Marlborough community as a teacher in the 3/4 unit for 2022. Before becoming a Primary Teacher, I worked in Outdoor Education and have 16 years’ experience leading students and teachers on educational adventures throughout Australia and across the world. When not at school, you’re likely to find me skiing, rafting or hiking in the mountains. I’m looking forward to becoming part of the MPS community this year and hope to meet you all soon.

Pippa Davis - 5/6A

Hi, I am Pippa Davis and I will be teaching 5/6 this year. I have been a teacher for 13 years and I thoroughly enjoy it! Each year is always interesting and full of learning, fun and laughter! I enjoy reading, making jewellery and going to the beach. I like playing basketball, soccer and netball. I barrack for the Melbourne Demons and Melbourne United. I am really excited about this year and working with the students, families and wider community of Marlborough Primary School.

Sandi Kelly - Education Support

Hi I'm Sandi, I'm so excited to have joined the ES team at Marlborough PS working in the 1/2 unit. I'm looking forward to getting to know all the staff and students.  In my spare time I love to exercise and enjoy gardening. I have two gorgeous dogs called Cookie and Boo Boo.

Joel Barnes - Education Support

Hi my name is Joel and I am part of the Education Support team. As a former student at MPS and an OSHC educator here for several years  I am excited to be in the classroom now on the giving end of the nurturing, engaging,  encouraging and inclusive atmosphere that I experienced and that Marlborough is well known for. I am  close to finishing a  Bachelor in Exercise Science/Teaching and am very focused on engaging students in their learning and  promoting the development of values amongst students and peers including respect, courage, self-discipline, and honesty through patience, enthusiasm, adaptability, and good humour. Outside of school I enjoy tennis, surfing, martial arts and outdoor activities. I also play guitar and am a dog lover. I look forward to working with a range of diverse students here at Marlborough and being a part of the special Marlborough community.

Marlborough Chickens

Our chickens enjoyed their summer break at the Bondini Resort but they missed all the students very much and have now returned to be spoilt by everyone.

You may notice that we now have only 3 chickens as one grew into a Rooster and has now been relocated back to the farm where he will enjoy his time cock-a-do-a-doodling without disrupting anyone.

We are very excited that the chickens have now begun to lay eggs. Once we have lots of a dozen we will sell these at assembly.

To our new families, if you have yet to meet our chickens you will be able to find them behind the 3/4 unit.

School Contributions for 2022

Using the forms sent home last month you can choose to pay by Credit Card at the office, BPay (details on the form) or Direct into the bank account.  If you pay via BPay or Direct into bank please return the forms (both pages please showing all contributions that you may choose to pay) to the office or scan and email to marlborough.ps@education.vic.gov.au so we are able to reconcile your payment.  You can also pay via Compass.  You can find this in the Payment Centre on the home page.

Please note that you may see in the payment section at the bottom of the page that you have an unallocated funds credit.  This may be because you had a credit from a cancelled excursion or something similar.  If you would like to use this credit, then you need to process this first by removing the amounts prepopulated in the Curriculum Contributions box and just adding the amount of the credit and then clicking on the process button.  The curriculum contributions will then show the amount less the credit applied, and you can continue with your payment.  If you wish to donate the credit amount, then an alternative option is to process your payment first and then add the credit amount to one of the donation areas and processing this. If you require any assistance, please contact the office 9870 3468 or email marlborough.ps@education.vic.gov.au
