Year 6 Graduation &

End of Year Celebrations

Celebration Day, Gumbuya World

GRADUATION

It seems like it was only yesterday that we were arriving back from Summer Holidays to the Springs, setting up our classrooms and welcoming our new classes for 2021.

It is so hard to believe that a year has come and gone…

We were able to officially recognise the extraordinary achievements of our Year 6 students at our Graduation Ceremony last week.  The dedication and drive our students showed through such testing times is to be commended.  They should all be so proud of how well they tackled each and every obstacle and pushed themselves to achieve greatness throughout a year that presented its ups and downs.

CELEBRATIONS

Following our Graduation Ceremony, our Year 6 students, Teachers, Learning Support Assistants, Assistant Principals, Principal and Specialist teachers attended our Celebration day on our community oval.  Inflatables, Soft Serve Ice-cream, Fairy Floss and 'chilling out' was on the agenda for the day.  From what I could see, everyone who attended had a really nice time celebrating 2021.

GUMBUYA WORLD

We then managed to get everyone along to Gumbuya World for a spectacular day out in the (occasional) sun.  It was an incredible day and an awesome celebration after such a crazy year.

FOOTBALL MATCH

After missing the Grand Final celebrations in September, the staff took the opportunity to challenge the 2021 YR 6 cohort to our annual football match.  With depleted staff due to injuries (that's our excuse anyway),  the students took it to the teachers and, for the first time in many years, triumphantly doubled the teachers' score!!

It was a fantastic way to finish the year and fun was had by all.

I want to take this opportunity to state just how proud I am of each and every one of our Year 6 Students. I can’t thank the teachers, LSA’s and parents enough for all of their support throughout such a testing year.  I feel extremely privileged and proud to have been part of such an enthusiastic and dedicated team in 2021.

Farewell 2021 Graduates… I wish you all the very best in Secondary School.

On a parting note, I would like to wish everyone a safe and relaxing Christmas Break. Please take care over the holidays and enjoy a much-deserved rest.  I hope you all have a wonderful holiday with your family and friends.
