Year 9 Photography and Digital Media students last term worked collaboratively to create their own animations. The students engaged in the process working through problems and developing a storyboard and experimenting with a range of different technologies to record each group animation. Students learned about the complexity of making animations which relies on a large number of images and time to edit the final product. Students this term have planned their own photoshoot and using their own critical evaluations selected their 5 strongest images to be a part of our Materbald exhibition in Week 8.

Year 10 photography students have engaged in a range of interesting projects throughout this year. They have explored their identity through creative and interesting self-portraits. They designed media campaigns. They worked collaboratively to write a script and film a movie. They engaged in a process of experimental photography providing lots of scope for students to play with techniques and processes. They have recontextualized photographs to give added or altered meanings and have even stitched into existing photographs. They have altered and combined digitally in photoshop and altered photographs physically in creative and imaginative ways.
