We are now over halfway through Term Four, it has been very busy and there is still so much to come. In Ms Keough’s Year 7 and 8 Visual Arts and Year 9 Photography and Digital Media classes, the students are engaging in Genius Hour. Genius Hour is a concept-driven learning activity where students have an opportunity to creatively pursue a topic or theme of their choice. Students firstly Question it, then Research it using a range of resources and experimentation, Create it, and finally Share it, this year students will be sharing during our Mater Dei Creative Arts Exhibition (MDCX) during Week 8.

The MDCX Exhibition will be a part of our Creative Arts and Language Week. Everyone is welcome to come along to the Hall and Peace Garden to see the fabulous talents our students have on offer. Students will have an opportunity to engage in a range of activities during the week. We will have Homegroup challenges, lunchtime and recess activities such a street art collaboration and music performances. Students can engage with Japanese culture and enjoy free food tasting and Year 8 will participate in traditional Japanese activities during the week. It is such a pleasure to host such an event to show the creative and cultural aspect of our College which will culminate with the MDCX Exhibition, so bring your family and friends along on Thursday 6 December with doors opening at 3.30pm to 6.30pm.
