Music

Year 7 and 8 Music have been engaged in performing on keyboard and guitar. Many students have enjoyed performing in small groups and student centred learning tasks have included keyboard melodies, guitar, bass guitar and drum kit parts within ensembles. Students have engaged in  experimenting with structure in their arrangements as well as texture variation.

Year 9 and 10 Music have enjoyed performing Rock/Pop music in large and small ensembles. Many students in these classes will be performing at the Creative Arts evening during Week 8.

Year 11 Music have begun the HSC Music 1 Course and are creating a composition for their first Assessment Task, using the computer notation program Sibelius. Our Year 11 pianists have been enjoying performing on the two new Kawai pianos which arrived this term. All students are in the process of choosing performance pieces for their HSC program for 2019. We look forward to hearing the future performances from our talented students.
