Wellbeing                      College Counsellor

     Mrs Leanne Miller

Brene’ Brown a research professor from the University of Houston has spent the past two decades studying courage, vulnerability, shame, and empathy. She says:

“Wholehearted living is about engaging in our lives from a place of worthiness. It means cultivating the courage, compassion, and connection to wake up in the morning and think, No matter what gets done and how much is left undone, I am enough. It’s going to bed at night thinking, Yes, I am imperfect and vulnerable and sometimes afraid, but that doesn’t change the truth that I am also brave and worthy of love and belonging.”

I’ve attached a pdf from Brene’ on ‘what to let go of’ and what to ‘cultivate’ in life. You might also like to explore her website for more helpful information. About Brené - Brené Brown (brenebrown.com)

I was also thinking about the disciples who reluctantly put their nets out into the deep and it was there they found their reward. (Luke 5:4) What I take from it is that it takes  COURAGE and connection to step into the deep unknown. Courage is one of our College Values for education but also for life.
