STUDENT CPR AWARENESS PROGRAM

Last Thursday Year 3-6 were given the opportunity to participate in CPR Awareness Program run by Mr Cameron McFarlane from Royal Life Saving Society NSW.  Our Primary school students were all  very interested and learnt valuable life saving skills. All children displayed impeccable behaviour and listened attentively at all times. The students enjoyed practical role plays and excelled during the quiz at the end of the session.

Thank you Mr McFarlene for visiting Sacred Heart School.

Staff also completed their CPR/Anaphylaxis training in the afternoon.

STUDENT REPRESENTATIVE COUNCIL

This year is a very important and exciting year at Sacred Heart as we welcome back the Student Representative Council (SRC).

The aim of the SRC is to work as a team and develop leadership skills within the school and the wider community. This is achieved through developing student’s values and responsibilities towards common goals for the school and the community, which is encompassed by the school’s core values.

The SRC also provides all students with a voice. Through exemplary leadership and a strong commitment to the student body, the SRC strives to work equally with our fellow students to create and nurture constructive ideas and thus have a positive contribution to the culture of Sacred Heart.

As part of the SRC students will take on various roles and responsibilities. The SRC will organise social activities, hold functions to raise awareness for important issues and support Australian charities by holding fundraising events.

On Friday final nominations were taken and voting took place for the 2022 Sacred Heart Student Representative Council. We will announce our incoming SRC at the Induction Mass this coming Wednesday.
