In Cultural Studies this week, we have learnt about the traditional celebrations during Lunar New Year. We learnt about the Reunion Dinner which is the most important meal of the year for Chinese people, and red envelopes full of money! We watched a Lion dance video and read a story about the Chinese Zodiac. 2022 is the year of the Tiger - he was the 3rd animal to cross the finish line in the race. People born in the year of the Tiger are courageous and energetic, love a challenge or competition and are prepared to take risks. Do you have any 'tigers' in your household?

Grade 3 created a tangram puzzle to show one of the Chinese Zodiac animals. Can you see your birth year animal represented?
