Secondary Sub School News

Welcome back to another great year in Secondary! I am feeling very fortunate to be taking on the role of Secondary Sub School Leader in 2022. Some of you may remember my first stint as Acting SSL during Term 3 and 4 in 2019 when Mark Taylor took family leave and it’s so exciting to be back in the role again, supporting students, families and staff.

I began my teaching career as a brand-new graduate in 2014 in a Primary classroom at JSA and I enjoyed it so much that I’ve been here ever since! I have taught across all year levels P-12 and held several Leadership roles in addition to Acting SSL: Learning Specialist, Acting PBS Coach, PLC Instructional Leader, and Teaching & Learning Coach.

Outside of school, I am a keen horse rider, I play the violin (and occasionally rehearse with a local orchestra when time allows), and I love nothing more than cooking and enjoying a good meal and a catch-up with family and friends.

This year I’m excited to lead and support our students as they delve into the Secondary curriculum, get stuck into Hands-on Learning opportunities in the Café and Build program, develop their Personal Living Skills, familiarise themselves with Travel Education, embark on ADVANCE, VCAL, VETiS, and SBAT programs, and begin to explore Career Education and possibilities for their future lives beyond school.

Looking forward to a busy and happy year in Secondary!
