School Uniform

Please make sure that all items of school uniform are clearly marked with your child's name.  At this time of the year students are often changing in and out of their jackets and jumpers depending on the weather on the day.  It is your child's responsibility to put clothing into their bag when they take them off, but of course this does not always happen so if there is a name on the item it can be easily returned.

Compass Events

You can now either give permission or decline events in Compass now. We really need parents to fill in forms either way so we can process them more efficiently.  We also need you to attend to permissions on time as they are not accessible after the due date.  We do not want students to miss out on excursions or activities but if permissions and payments are not made on time, there is a risk of this happening.

Absentee Notes - We have sent out many reminders over Term 1 and Term 2.  Please fill these in and return to school this week. All absences must be explained within 7 days of your child being away.

School Fees

Term 2 fees  are due by Tuesday, 21st June, 2022.  Thank you to all who have already paid and also to those who maintain regular payments. Payment options for school fees are still the same and include: via the Qkr App; EFT (payment made direct to the school's bank account); CentrePay and ADIG Direct Debit (all details are on your statement).

Please only use your surname and account number when paying via EFT as any more notation than this gets cut off (your account number is on the top right side of your fees statement under the date, thank you).  The Qkr App will be used for school fees until our financial system is upgraded and then it will change over to CompassPay.  If anyone is experiencing difficulties managing their school fees please ring and make an appointment to see Pauline and Tracey.

Working with children check

All parents who volunteer at school need to supply their WWCC and Date of Birth to enable us to verify the checks for our records.

Contacting the School

When contacting the school for any changes please use the quiadmin@arm.catholic.edu.au email. If you use the administration staff's personal email this cannot be accessed when they are away.  Thank you.

The Coolamon Challenge

Congratulations to Archie who won last week's primary challenge.

Primary: Which number doesn't belong: 7, 25, 28 or 21? Answer: This question has multiple answers and students needed to provide their reasoning to be in the draw. You could argue that:

  • 7 doesn't belong because it is the only single digit number or because it's a prime number (it only has two factors - 1 and itself, whereas 25, 21 and 28 have multiple factors)
  • 25 doesn't belong because it is not divisible by 7 (equally) or because it's the only number divisible by 5 (equally)
  • 28 doesn't belong because it is the only even number
  • 21 doesn't belong because it's the only number divisible by 3 (equally)

See this week's challenges below. Infants will have another week to get their entries in for their challenge from last week.
