Weekend Mass Times
Saturday 5pm (Quirindi) 6:30pm (Werris Creek)
Sunday 8am (Willow Tree) 9:30am (Quirindi)
The Ascension of the Lord Year C, 29 May 2022.
We are invited, just as the first disciples were, to become joyful followers of Christ.
As Christ ascends to heaven, he commissions us to be his living message of hope, love, and compassion in a world crying out for healing. Christ is the head of the Church and we are the body, filled with his wisdom and power to transform all creation.
Catholic Schools' Week Celebrations
What a wonderful week of celebrations around our Diocese of Armidale last week!
It was a privilege to travel with our Primary students to join with our Southern Deanery schools in Mass at St Nicholas' Church, Tamworth. The students were excellent ambassadors for our school during the Mass and afterwards, where we enjoyed lunch and playtime at Anzac Park. Thank you to our Catholic Schools Office for covering the cost of our bus and delicious lunch. Thank you to Mrs Dunst (REC and Assistant Principal, St Nicholas' School) for preparing the Mass and supporting our School Captains, Abbie and Archie as they read Prayers of the Faithful.
I am also very proud of all our students for their participation in our prayer liturgy on Thursday. It was such a beautiful day where we welcomed family and friends to Come! Share the Spirit! The classrooms were filled with excitement and lots of chatter as the children shared their learning. We concluded our celebrations with a sausage sizzle lunch, cake and a popper. Thank you to everyone who helped make the day so special.

Prayer for Ascension Day
Gladden us with holy joys, almighty God,
and make us rejoice with devout thanksgiving,
for the Ascension of Christ your Son is our exaltation,
and, where the Head has gone before in glory, the Body is called to follow in hope.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.
God bless,
Mrs Wendy Rheinberger
