Hello everyone. My name is Nicki and I am the new Kitchen Specialist at Weeden Heights. I am so looking forward to working with the year three and four students in our beautiful SAKGF kitchen. What a stunning space it is! 

The students and I will be cooking all sorts of deliciousness, combining fresh seasonal produce from our garden with pantry staples. The program relies heavily on the support of adult volunteers so if you have a few spare hours, I’d love your support. This may be a regular commitment or a one-off session – all help is appreciated! You don’t need to be a year three/four student parent or carer to participate. You just need to be enthusiastic, responsible and ready for lots of fun as we all learn about food and cooking together – no Masterchef qualification required. 

If you, your family or friends can help, please come and see me in the kitchen on Monday mornings, register your interest at the school office or come and say hello on Open Night, Tuesday May 24th. I’ll be there, ready to meet you, chat about cooking and sell you a tasty treat!
