Junior School

So far this term I have been so impressed with the Prep students' ability to remain on task for extended periods of time.  We all love maths sessions in our classroom and this week we looked at the concept of 'Friends of Ten'.  This concept explores numbers that bond together to make 10. It is important to take our time with this concept as it is the foundation for developing a deeper understanding of decomposing numbers and building the students number sense to help with addition fluency...especially important as they start to work with larger numbers!
