Transitioning to Imagination (OSHC)

Transitioning to Imagination (OSHC) in 2023

This section is relevant for families who have children attending Foundation in 2023 and accessing Imagination in early January.

If you are interested in your child having the transition experience to 'imagination', please make sure you book this in with Jacqui by Wed Nov 16.  Children who are already booked into the Afternoon Program on these days will attend automatically.

Dates of Imagination Visits:  November 21, 23, 29 & December 2, 5, 8 and 13.  If your child is not currently accessing our Afternoon Care program but will be going to Imagination in 2023, please speak with Jacqui to book in a session if you feel this would be valuable for your child.

If you have a child at Imagination and Curiosity, you will need to manage your afternoon to ensure that you are collecting both children before 6pm please.

Introducing the Team

Please take the time to read out the introductions from the Imagination team with your children in preparation for their upcoming visits.

Ali - Imagination Co-ordinator

My name is Ali and I am the Coordinator of Imagination. I have a degree in Junior Primary/ Primary Education, and I have been in the OSHC sector for 11 years, 7 of those years as an OSHC Director.  I am passionate about caring for students of all ages and abilities and developing lasting relationships with families over many years of care of their child. It is a delight to watch students from all ages and backgrounds form strong friendship through attending Imagination. As a mother of a 2023 Foundation student, I have already made connections with a few students in the morning program at Curiosity, and I look forward to making further connections with 2023 Foundation students.

My favourite activities to plan at Imagination, are imaginative play scenes, arts and crafts, STEM activities and challenges, and play that compliments the learning in the classroom.

Alysha - Educator

Hi my name is Alysha, I’m currently completing Year 11 at Kings Baptist Grammar School. I’m also about to complete my Cert III in Early Childhood and Care. I’ve been at Imagination for almost a year now and I absolutely love it. One of my favourite things about imagination is being able to spend time with the children, by playing games, playing sports or simply just having a chat. One of my favourite hobbies is playing netball, I’ve been playing since I was 7 and couldn’t imagine not playing it. One of my favourite things to do with the children is playing a big group sports game, something like basketball, soccer, netball or dodge ball.

Hi, my name is Will.

I am just about to finish my Bachelor of Primary Education (Honours) degree!

I have been at imagination for about six months now and I really love working here.

My favourite thing about Imagination is getting to play games and sport with the students. It is awesome to see the students develop new skills with their time in Imagination, and already this year I know some students have really benefitted from the experiences they are having here and taking that with them into their club sports.

In my spare time I like to do lots of different things. I like to play music. I like to play games with my friends, board games, and computer games. I also love to be outside playing sport when the weather is good!
