7A Poetry Magazine | Year 8 Science
7A poured our souls into constructing a poetry magazine. Everyone contributed from editing the poems, to creating the actual magazine, to even designing the front cover. Everything you will see in this magazine was our hard work. We thought hard, wrote hard and typed hard. From the bottom of our hearts we created a masterpiece that will stay with us forever, maybe not physically, but in our memories. Though we had to create poetry, as soon as we started we couldn’t get enough. We understood the meaning of poetry and how to express our feelings through our beautiful poems. - Daniel Maylis 7A
In Year 8 science this term, students were learning about how our bodies process food and absorb the nutrients we need to survive. To develop a strong understanding of all the mechanical and chemical digestive processes that occur students were asked to make stop-motion videos showing these processes.
Students were encouraged to plan the films frame by frame and create entertaining and informative films. Some of the films that were received were just amazing and really helped the students to solidify their understanding of the science while developing their multimedia skills.
