Activities Week

STEM challenge

During activities week, students were given a STEM challenge in science...to build a boat out of a selection of materials that could support the greatest mass. But there was a catch. Each student had "money" of 50 icy pole sticks with which to purchase their items such as a PET bottle for 10 sticks or a glue gun for 5. The final score was dependent on how much "money" they had left over and how much mass they could float on their boat. Mr Rigby was head judge and everyone had great fun.
