Principals Report

- Sarah Rose, Principal

So much activity across all the year levels the last few weeks and there's plenty more to come as we see out the final few weeks of the school year.

Our year 12 students have finished their exams and are now having a well-earned break whilst they await results release. I couldn't be prouder of how they approached the exam period and the lead up to it - the senior school study centre was heavily utilised for quiet focused study time and consultation with teaching staff. I look forward to seeing the various pathways our class of '22 takes.

Our year 11s are presently in their second week of Step Up which essentially sees them commence their year 12 subjects. It's an exciting time as they venture into their final year of secondary schooling.

For our year 10s who have just finished their exams and will today commence step up and exam feedback.

There's plenty happening in our junior school also with our year 9s about to transition into the senior school as they commence their step up into year 10. Our year 8s have had their first taste of subject allocations, having received their electives for 2023. Our year 7s have had a brilliant week with their year level camp at Roses Gap - I'm hearing wonderful reports from the supervising staff of students and staff having a fabulous time.

As we near the end of the school year I look forward to the celebratory activities such as Valedictory dinner tonight for year 12 students and our college awards night on the 13th December. It is a time of year I thoroughly enjoy as we get to share our students’ achievements with our broader college community and a time when I reflect on the immense amount of positive growth and outcomes seen throughout the year.

As you can see from this bumper edition there’s been a lot more activity across the college than what I’ve covered above. Please take the time to scroll through the pages and get a feel for the variety of things we’re involved in. Enjoy.
