Deputy Principal and Student Wellbeing

'We aim to provide a school environment where ‘Every person can flourish and be known’ This means that our teaching program identifies the unique needs of each individual student, and delivers a learning program designed to grow them into the best person that they can be'.

Hello Families and Friends of St Anthony's,

I hope that everyone had a wonderful weekend.

Over the past couple weeks the school has focused on help-seeking strategies from Prep to Grade 6. These strategies are put in place to keep everyone safe. One of the main strategies used is the '5 people who I can ask for help'. Students pick 5 people e.g. parents, grandparents or a teacher who they can contact if they feel unsafe or worried. As sometimes problems are too big for students to solve on their own.

I encourage all families to discuss this strategy with their child.

Please note that I'm on leave from Tuesday 29th November and I will return to work on Monday 5th December. If you have any student wellbeing concerns, please contact Erin or Glennis.

Kind regards,

James Gow
