Physical Education

Hi Families,

Just a few notes this week.

District Swimming Trials - 2023

How am I already thinking about this argh :) The first sport event for the 2023 calendar is already locked in, the annual District Swimming Carnival will be held on Wednesday 1st of March at Aquarena, Doncaster.

Students from Years 3 to 6 are invited to be part of the 2022 St James Swimming Team. After some great success again this year, we are once again offering students the opportunity to take part in trials which will be held in the third week of term (date and time to be confirmed) at Aquanation Leisure Centre in Ringwood. This is a great way for students to experience competitive swimming and demonstrate their swimming ability.

To make the morning run smoothly I am asking parents to fill out this form here .

Any questions, please feel free to contact me.

Year 6 Cricket

Our year 6’s are off to cricket today at Donvale Reserve.  This will be the last Gala Sport day the students will be doing together. We hope they have a fun filled day in the sunshine.

Year 5 Tennis

The year 5’s will be the last group to head to HE Parker from 12-2 on Friday to finish off our class to court tennis program.  If the students have a tennis racquet, they are welcome to bring it along.  An Operoo has been sent out, if you haven’t had a chance to check it out.

Unfortunately the year 3 & 4 program was cancelled due to the weather and unfortunately can’t be rescheduled due to time tabling but the year 3-6 students have had a great time and have been very engaged throughout.  We thank AdvantagEdge for running this program for us.

Game On Recycling

We’re proudly working with Game On Recycling to responsibly dispose of our end-of-life sporting equipment. Between Monday 14 th November to Friday 25 th November our school community is invited to bring any damaged, old and unwanted sporting balls, bats and racquets to our sports waste collection bin for free and environmentally friendly recycling.

Have a great week.

Stay well, stay active
