Election Day - Sausage Sizzle and Cake Stall
THIS SATURDAY 26 NOVEMBER
It's that time again, and Blackburn Primary School is again a polling booth for the upcoming election THIS SATURDAY. This is a great opportunity to raise money for the school and the band program.
Plates were sent home last week with your eldest child for items to be baked and donated to the cake stall. With Christmas just around the corner, this is a great opportunity to start making some Christmas goodies and treats to be sold on the day. The possibilities are endless - cakes, slices, cookies and biscuits, muffins, tarts, macaroons, cupcakes, balls, bread, jams, honey or any local or international delicacy - all are welcome. Whole cakes are particularly popular. Remember you don't have to bake just 1 item - we also sell individual items on the day and things like cookies, cupcakes, muffins and slices are very popular with the kids. If you would like to contribute more than one item, please feel free to do so. You can also obtain more plates and labels from the office. There will be detailed instructions included with the plates.
Drop your homemade goodies at the BPS Gym kitchen at the following times: Friday 25th November between 8:30 - 9:30am
Friday 25th November between 3.00 - 4.00pm
Saturday 26th November from 8.30am
There are still quite a few gaps to fill for helpers, please if you can spare a few hours to come ad help out it is greatly appreciated.
A Current WWC is required for the Friday sessions only.

Working Bee Helpers - Thank you!
A big thank you to everyone who came down and helped with the Working Bee on Friday, all reports were it was a great night and lots of kids also got stuck in to help make the school look beautiful. Also a massive shoutout to Anthony and Rita for coordinating the night and for their donations of some lovely plants that you can now see around the school. These working bees will continue in 2023 so make sure you keep your eyes open for notices and if you have any suggestions of what we can work on next please send us an email bps.parentsfriends@gmail.com
