On Thursday 1st of December the juniors will have their Athletics Carnival. It will be run on the oval at school from 9.30am - 12.00pm. Parents and friends are most welcome to attend. Bring a chair/picnic blanket and some snacks for a relaxed morning and to cheer the children on.
Wednesday 2nd November, saw the Primary Schools' State Athletics Championships held at Lakeside Stadium. We had nine students contesting various events throughout the day, in at times trying weather conditions. The school is proud of the efforts made by these pupils who have had to qualify through four stages to reach this ultimate level. Even though there was a marked difference in standard from their previous encounters, they stayed focussed, applied themselves well and most importantly, were very supportive of each other. Congratulations to them all.
Many thanks to all the parents who had to battle city traffic, parking and an early start to get there. Your support was greatly appreciated!

Friday, 18th November is French Day. Students are looking forward to the annual event. Students are asked to dress as someone or something French. Costumes in the past have included dressing as baguettes, French fries, snails, the French flag, French farmers, fashion models, Coco Chanel, a poodle, wearing berets, but there's no need to dress elaborately. Wearing red, white and blue or any combination of those colours will be fine.
The day includes many activities, including our tradition of having gluten free berry waffles and sorbet and popcorn for our French film. Order forms will go out next week. There is no cost for the day.
On Friday 28th October the grade 3's and 4's travelled to Camp Rumbug. Although the weather wasn't the best, everyone had a great time.
