Physical Education

PE at Preshil
Physical Education is a great way for students to incorporate physical activity with learning. It not only develops physical health but also social and emotional health as well. It challenges students to move their bodies in a fun and enjoyable way. Students develop their self-confidence as they work through activities to achieve goals.
This term across all year levels we have had the same focus Communication and Teamwork.
Through a range of games and activities students have challenged themselves and worked together to develop their physical and social skills. We have participated in activities where students needed to work together to complete tasks. This has included using blindfolds, parachutes and activities where students were unable to speak. We have also completed a Basketball unit and are in the middle of a Soccer unit. In both units, we have continued our term focus of Communication and Teamwork and have included some sports specific skills including passing, dribbling and shooting.
As the term draws to an end, so does my time at Preshil. I have had a wonderful term meeting all the beautiful students and working with the supportive staff. I wish you all the best for the future and a safe and happy holiday.
